Meditation is not new. It has been around for  thousand years. There is nothing taboo about it.  If fact, when I had my private practice as a clinical hypnotherapist, the state of relaxation achieved through meditation decreased blood pressure in nearly every client.  Many clients would confirm this when they would go to their doctors. It is great for stress reduction, or for someone that is truly committed to kicking the habit (smoking).

Meditation is vital to healing after a heart attack.  Your mind is powerful. Self healing, regeneration, and renewal may be achieved through meditation. It sets up your environment for healing capacity.  A stressful environment is not beneficial for healing, give your body every opportunity to bring on the healing effect.
